HOLLOWAY FIELD
After the formation of the Windsor Royals in 1955, the club needed to find some ground to call home. First attempts made by the committee of the day were in 1961, and an application was lodged with the Brisbane City Council for the lease of Crosby Park at Albion. This application was rejected, and although the Royals were experiencing significant growth in membership, the club was still without a home ground. In 1964 the club committee found a patch of green at Spencer Park, Newmarket. An application was approved by the Brisbane City Council and work commenced on the development of the facility. Co-founding members and life members Stan Holloway and Eddie Tyler were leaders in the facility construction, and on the 10th of May 1964 the facility was officially named Holloway Field. The patron of the club, Clem Jones officially opened Holloway Field on this day with the assistance of Bryan Walsh and Queensland Baseball Association President Mr. E. Toovey.
Other than regular season play, Holloway Field has been hosted to grand finals, regional competitions, Senior and Junior State Championships, Senior and Junior National Championships, the Claxton Shield Championships, the Coca-Cola Classic, Australian Baseball League, International Championships, visiting teams from the USA, Japan, China, Taiwan, Guam, New Zealand, South Africa, as well as visiting Navy and Army Teams from around the world.
