The second annual Windsor Royals Baseball Academy has come to a close and a big thank you is extended to everyone involved. Firstly all the participants, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and learnt lots about baseball and how to improve your skills. Secondly all the coaches, Shayne Watson, Brent Young, Paul Hope, Jamie King, Adam White and Mark Blaskovich, thank you for your time and energy. Watching the players improve during the academy under your guidance was fantastic. And last but not least a very special thank you to our invitational coaches, Harry Giles, Jimmy Macan, Paul Gonzalez, Ryan Searle, Donald Lutz and A grade coach Adrian Lamb who all gave up their very valuable time to pass on their thoughts, skills and knowledge to the young academy players.

The Under 14 and 16 teams at Windsor Royals Baseball Club play and train on the main diamond and play later in the day. The field that these players play on has been recognised by the Australian Baseball League's Brisbane Bandits to be used as a training facility. The bases are moved in for the Under 14 teams as well as the pitchers plate. Putting aside this difference, both the 14's and 16's teams are very competitive with finals being marked in many of their books.
The Under 12 teams at Windsor Royals Baseball Club play and train on the corners of the main field at field two and field three . All Little league games are held in the morning to allow older age groups to play at a later time. In the next couple of years the committee is aiming to have regulation portable Little League pitching mounds made to enable an even higher standard of play. Traditionally, Windsor Royals Little League teams have been very competitive with a strong finals history.
