U12 and U14:
The Windsor Royals Baseball Academy for the U12 and U14s is all about developing baseball skills, fielding, throwing, running and hitting. The Academy will utilize game based play to instil baseball fundamentals, the aim of which will be to improve arm speed, leg speed and bat speed. Positional play will be developed with the main emphasis on pitching and catching. Pre-Academy testing of arm speed, leg speed and bat speed will be recorded and evaluated against the last Academy day testing. This Academy is designed to create confidence and an improved skill level for all who actively participate.
U16 and U18.
The U16 and U18 Windsor Royals Baseball Academy is about baseball advance. A specialized sprint coach has been contracted to improve the athleticism of our baseballers. This was introduced at the 2011 Academy and great results were seen with our before and after testing. An ex-Windsor Royal Baseballer who now is a full time personal trainer has also been enlisted to fitness train the players - he will combine the latest fitness industry techniques with the Australian Baseball core strength stability programs to improve the player’s endurance, strength and power. Extensive infield and outfield drills have been designed to accelerate all aspects of defence. Specialized pitching and catching sessions have been formulated to enhance the art of pitching and receiving. Renowned hitting mentors have been enlisted to improve and groove the player’s swings to highlight consistency and power. All participants will graduate the Academy with a higher appreciation of all aspects of the game of baseball and be better positioned for success on and off the field. So come and be a part of the 2012 Windsor Royals Baseball Academy for U12-U14s (in the 2012-13 season, players born in 1999- 2002 registered with Windsor) and U16-U18s ( players born in 1995-1998 also registered with Windsor).
~ Monday afternoon 5- 7pm for U12- U14s
~ Monday evening 6:30 pm till 8:30 for U16- U18s
~The program runs 15 weeks August 6 thru November 12 2012
~$ 150 for returning players (with uniform already)
~$ 200 for first timers (includes cap and training shirt).

Registration forms will be available at the club trophy presentation day (March 24th) and at the July club sign-on.
