In the beginning...

In 1955 the Windsor Royals Baseball Club was established. The idea was to provide a club to facilitate the increasing number of local people interested in the great sport of Baseball. The priority of the club that remains even to today is to provide a family orientated sporting environment for all to enjoy. The club holds a strong focuses on the junior development of inspiring athletes, and to harvest talented players for now and for the future. As a testimony to the club this vision became a reality and still remains a strong value today.

Facilities

After the formation of the Windsor Royals in 1955, the club needed to find some ground to call home. First attempts made by the committee of the day were in 1961, and an application was lodged with the Brisbane City Council for the lease of Crosby Park at Albion. This application was rejected, and although the Royals were experiencing significant growth in membership, the club was still without a home ground. In 1964 the club committee found a patch of green at Spencer Park, Newmarket.
